David was born and grew up in Hardinsburg, Kentucky and graduated from Breckinridge County High School in 1977. He moved to Utica in 1992 because of a carrer change. He married his wife Cindy in 1998 and they have two sons, Ethan and Jason. David and Cindy joined Utica Baptist Church in 2005 after attending as non-members for seven years.

David's salvation experience is as follows. He attended Hardinsburg Baptist Church as child and asked Jesus into his heart as a youth. He continued to attend Hardinsburg Baptist Church off and on for several years and then allowed the grips of sin to draw him away from God and His church. David continued to let this lifestyle continue until he moved to Utica and his neighbors and soon to be very close friends invited him to Utica Baptist Church. David is very thankful that God did not give up on him. Since he has been at Utica God has done some amaizing things in his life. He has found it very hard to tell God no and God has blessed him in many ways. In the summer of 2009 David surrendered his life into the ministry of God.

David believes if a person desires to experience the power of God and the loving experience of a great Christian family Utica Baptist Church is where they need to make their home.
